Carpenter's Ring
"This man was handed over to you by God's set purpose and foreknowledge; and you, with the help of wicked men, put Him to death by nailing Him to a Cross." Acts 2:23
As a boy, Jesus mastered the tools of His earthly father's carpenter shop. He experienced every sensation of a carpenter, such as cutting the wood, the forcing blow of the hammer, the ring of metal against metal, even the sting of a sliver of wood under His skin. Then the satisfaction of his earthly father's voice saying "well done."
As a man He turned to His heavenly Father's master plan. Ironically every sensation of being a carpenter would be recalled as He surrendered His heart and died at calvary. The ring symbolizes the circle of life with its trials. The Cross is a constant reminder of Jesus' endurance and willingness to die for the sins of man
