Harmony
"Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayer. Finally, all of you, live in harmony with one another; be sympathetic, live as brothers, be compassionate and humble." I Peter 3:7-8
Since harmony is about the pleasing arrangement of parts, then the arrangement is of utmost importance. In an orchestra, beautiful melodious sound is made when the conductor arranges the instruments in the appropriate places. Within a marriage two distinctly different individuals come together to become one. The conductor who helps orchestrate harmony in the marriage is the Lord. He gives each person gifts and godly attributes to contribute to the relationship.
Even though the orchestra is formed of individually gifted musicians, when each person uses those gifts to contribute to the whole, a harmonious performance is the result. Similarly within the marriage each person has individual gifts and callings, which can be used to build oneness that reflects the harmonious love of Christ.
Anita designed this piece combining the musical symbols ofa bass and treble clef with the reflection of a cross within it. It is a reminder of the harmony that Christ brings to any arrangement of parts, whether in music, in a marriage or within the Body of Christ.
