Day Break

"And we have the word of the prophets made more certain, and you do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, unti the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts." II Peter 1:19

Day break is the time when the change from darkness to light occurs. In a spiritual sense, unable to see, we walk in darkness without true purpose, until we have our first glimpse of the light of Christ. After we are drawn to the light and make Christ our Lord and Savior, we experience our day break. His light begins to feed our hearts and it breaks forth influencing every aspect of our lives.

This cross is symbolic of the day break many of us have experienced in Christ, and of the break others will experience as they see the light of Christ in our lives and in the lives of others. May this cross also remind us of a day in the future when the day will break, and Christ will appear as the Morning Star.
