Legacy

"I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you will be in you.  I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you."  John 14:16-18

A legacy can be a gift that an ancestor leaves for his family.  Th legacy can give the family knowledge about their ancestors' life and can also include and inheritance.  The Lord Jesus left us a legacy when He went to be with the Father.  He send 'another helper', the Holy Spirit, so that we would not be abandoned like orphans.  The Holy Spirit gives us supernatural knowledge about the Lord and He gives us supernatural love for one another.  Most importantly, the Holy Spirit makes it possible for Jesus to be reflected in our lives, so that the world can still see Him today.

Anita originally designed the Legacy cross for Pam Tiffin's husband, Don.  He wanted a cross to wear around his neck that would serves as a reminder that he belongs to the Lord in the spiritual realm, much like the wedding ring he wears as a reminder that he belongs to his wife in this world.  Don related that the cross was special to him because the smaller sterling cross welded to the larger gold cross signifies the brilliance of Christ that he would like for people to see when they look at him.

May the legacy of Christ be reflected in our lives as the Holy Spirit, the Helper, empowers us to live for Him.
